Backer board is an innovative flooring material for ceramic or natural stone tiles – suitable for all building applications. It can be installed on metal or wooden frames, new brickwork, or renovated surfaces.
Tile backer board is made from a core material of high-performance waterproof and thermally insulating extruded board, with a double-sided composite waterproof mortar and alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh. It is a fast and effective way to achieve both waterproofing and thermal insulation. It is typically used in damp rooms or bathrooms.
The backing board is a high-strength, waterproof extruded polystyrene mortar coated on both sides with a fiberglass mesh embedded in the mortar, enhancing the board's strength and rigidity. Backing Board is suitable for a variety of substrates in new construction or renovation projects. Its high water resistance and corrosion resistance make it an ideal solution for damp areas such as bathroom walls, showers, and wet rooms. For wooden studs, a 10mm board is sufficient, secured with screws and washers.
This product consists of an extruded polystyrene core, coated on both sides with a mortar mixture embedded with a glass mesh. Surface: The surface is a waterproof polymer mortar embedded with a glass mesh. Color: The surface color is medium gray, with a light blue edge. Appearance: The panels are rectangular but can be cut to any shape. Impact on the Indoor Environment: This board is rated as not emitting any particulate matter, toxic gases, or radiation, and will not have any impact on indoor air or pose a significant health risk.
